The phrase “Perseverance Leads to Success” is prominently inscribed above the entrance to the Lin Kok Memorial Hall. The gold-inlaid calligraphy was personally penned by the yuen’s first abbot, Lady Clara Ho Tung, with her white seal, ” Lin Kok,” in the lower left corner.
Inscription: “For over a decade, I aspired to establish this institute. Despite numerous challenges and setbacks, I persevered resolutely. Today, I have seen its completion. This inscription commemorates my journey and aims to inspire future generations.”
This plaque embodies Lady Clara’s steadfast resolve in founding Tung Lin Kok Yuen, despite significant obstacles. It stands as both a testament to her determination and a source of encouragement for those who follow.
