般若藏珍 佛教的傳承與傳持展覽

A set of six paintings depicting the Eighteen Arhats was created in 1934 by the Hailing artist Tsui Po Kwan. Each painting features three Arhats, collectively portraying all eighteen.

Arhats, also known as Arahants, are enlightened disciples of Shakyamuni Buddha who uphold and protect the Dharma. While Buddhist scriptures traditionally mention only sixteen Arhats, the concept of Eighteen Arhats became more prevalent in China during the late Tang Dynasty.
